Camp Hawthorne Ridge
Speaker:
Our devotional speaker was U.S. Army Lt. Mike Cerula. Dedicated to serving God and Country, he has
been involved with Royal Rangers in our section for many years. Mike earned his GMA and is currently attending
training to be an Army Chaplain.

Directions to Camp Hawthorne Ridge
- From I-79: exit at Edinboro/Albion and turn towards Albion. Follow 6N west
to the traffic light at 98. Make a right onto Rt. 98 North. Go about 6.5 miles
to Hawthorne Ridge Road. There is a small white camp sign. Make a left turn
onto this road and follow it into the camp - about 1 mile.
- From I-90: exit at Fairview and turn South onto Rt. 98. Follow about 2.8
miles. Hawthorne Ridge Road will be a right turn. There is a small white
camp sign. Make the right turn and follow this road into the camp - about 1
mile.
- Drop off is Friday between 6:00 & 7:00 pm.
- Pick up is Sunday between 12:00 & 1:00 pm.
Notes:
Royal Ranger events are avaliable for boys grade 4 and up. All activities are
supervised by trained leaders and parents.
No previous scouting experience is needed for this camp. Just come ready for a
great time at our Winter Blast! We'll be sleeping in heated cabins, and eating & gathering
around a fireplace in Thompson Hall.
Daytime activities are held outdoors. All boys must bring warm winter clothing. They must have
a warm coat, hat, gloves, boots, etc. Bring sleeping bag or blankets, a pillow, and personal items.
Do not bring electronic gadgets!
